Six States In

Here's a shocker: I'm late getting the blog started. Ideally this is supposed to be a spinoff of our original cross-country blog, so in theory you ought to have arrived here either by invitation or via a link from that page. In theory. In any case you've stumbled upon the untimely retelling of Anna and Andrew (better known to some as Marcus) Corder's trip across the country. Again. This is the first in what hopefully will be about ten entries detailing events and the strangeness that follows the Corders on their ventures, but there's little more time for introductions, as we've several days of travels to document.

Thursday, August 14th: Anna and Marcus wake up after their respective last days at work and realize that without the intervention of the heavens (or this guy), the goal of leaving on Friday is a joke. So we went to the water park. And that's how, before we'd even started our trip, we were already a full day behind schedule. That's how we roll.

Friday, August 15th: After the most fitful night's sleep in the history of mankind, due to forgetting to take sunscreen with us to the water park, the packing begins in earnest. Coffee, Mountain Dew, Space Bags, and aloe are used in great amounts. There is much pain and cursing.

Saturday, August 16th: We both wish Willie Nelson would come with us on our trip. We swear we could make room in the back seat somewhere between the Wii and the baseball cleats.

*It's lunchtime, so this entry will be finished later today. Sorry for the delay!*
